They want the same things, but then, somebody uses a word, and it's like, boom! I'm on this side. Big, angry, judgy, divisive fights.Īnd what's interesting in both of these stories is that these fights are among people who basically agree about most things- who basically are allies. We have two stories where people used the wrong word, and there are big consequences. That's not how the story usually goes.Īnd today, on our program, we have the more typical thing. There were, in this case, no dire consequences. Apparently, though, I am out of step on this one. As one of the Jewish people, you'd think I would be the first to know.
